IR TV Review: THE BAD BATCH - EPISODE 9 (“Bounty Lost”) [Disney+]

Characterization and motivation always create reaction in characters even if they are not aware of it. Episode 9 of "The Bad Batch" entitled "Bounty Lost" focuses more on the hunters than on the Batch which gives a clearer view of what is being fought for and why. The setting for a would be cat-and-mouse game is well crafted in a familiar setting. Omega shows her resilience but the eventual secret of the series in terms of its crux per se in Omega is revealed though its real importance still seems a bit flimsy considering what is going on with The Empire. The storytelling seems to move away from specific details brought up in previous episodes. Now granted it looks like this season is actually 16 episodes total so there is still plenty of room to make the story progression works. But the political intrigue takes a periphery view in this regard versus a nuts-and -bolts way the system works. This episode also offers a different kind of hand-to-hand combat while other action is taking place which gives it a more dynamic as it continues onto its next destination. B
