IR TV Review: THE BAD BATCH - EPISODE 8 (“Reunion”) [Disney+]

The texture of path always relays in the eyes of those making moves and their aggressive nature. Episode 8 of "The Bad Batch" entitled "Reunion" brings two perspectives back into the fold, both working for the same employer but with vastly different objectives in certain ways. Unlike the last episode where the heartstrings tugged a little more specifically, this episode was about loss of self in a particular way. In a very specific way, it paralleled the westerns motif of certain parts of "The Mandalorian" at one point (and at another, ironically "Poseidon"). The Batch are still moving in a confined space but we have a better understanding of what they are after. The Caminoans are obviously part of this path and it is their overarching view that will influence the future (though their absence so far in later Star Wars stories will likely be illuminated as to reasoning. The episode itself, by irony, is not about the Batch really at all but the perspective of two adversaries, each moving against them in a different form. It is also an interesting dichotomy of command between the Clone element and what will eventually become the Stormtroopers. "Reunion", in many ways , is a bridge episode but brings in the players that will continually define the reaction of what happens next. B
