IR TV Review: WANDAVISION - EPISODE 6 [Disney+]

The inherent structure of "Wandavision" moves towards a facet of control vs. chaos. Whereas the last episode relegated in the 80s, this episode (No. 6) shifts in a way to the 90s but the trajectory of culture had more shifts in that time than most. The 90s style especially with self referential talking to the camera has interacted in many years in different ways, from "Malcolm In The Middle" to "Parker Lewis Can't Lose". This shift in perspective has Wanda's twins talking to camera. There is a Halloween background theme but that too reflects back to a view of like Amblin's version of a neighborhood, say in "ET" or more recently in "Stranger Things" but those are more 80s. Without giving too much away, it is the interaction with Pietro that says some interesting things about Wanda but also what she doesn't know which an interesting play. Vision can seem to operate independently in his thoughts without Wanda knowing...and yet she seems to be in all the townspeople's minds. It starts to tackle some interesting constructs on the periphery like the notion of existence which is specifically interesting in a short but pivotal scene involving Kathryn Hahn's Agnes. Meanwhile the trio of Monica Rambeau as well as Kat Dennings and Randall Park continue their own progression which draws an interesting parallel in certain ways. B
