The season finale of the 20 episode first season of "Star Trek: Prodigy" in that it takes to task exactly what Star Trek has always been great at showing, reusing but also presented as a teaching tool: sacrifice. The reasoning behind it is truly sound but also takes care of an issue which seemed hard to write out of with episode 19. Episode 20: "Supernova Part II" helps push this forward and also plays very well with how the duality of how Janeway, both holographic and real is presented.

The inroad of the latter part of the episode speaks to something else but also shows different paths so it will be interesting to see how it is resolved since it is written for bigger mythology and there is still a story to be written. But there is also a full lesson learned for this season which, considering the demo it is aimed for (plus that it has great stuff for older viewers), is no small feat. A
