IR TV Review: CITY ON A HILL - EPISODE 3 (“Speak When You’re Angry”) [Showtime-S3]
The aspect of moving on for some is a difficult track especially since many people tend to fall back on old habits. With Episode 3 of "City On A Hill": "Speak When You're Angry", the progress of tendencies (with the exception of one character) have to do with the context of enlightment. Jackie Rohr (Kevin Bacon) obviously can see the perspective from many angles and yet he finds himself drawn into the orbit despite what he can obviously see as a conflict. The aspect of how his daughter has transformed is very crucial here because that is a perspective that he perhaps is coming to terms with.
An exchange outside her new college shows that. She knows how broken he is and you see a slight crack in what made him what he is and then it is gone. Ward (Aldis Hodge) is a different edged sword but his orbit actually is starting because more flawed than Rohr who at least knows who he is. Of course there is other ancillary elements which integrates with Jenny (Jill Hennessy) who is the victim in many ways of all this but is stuck in the life, for better or for worse in certain ways. "City On A Hill" continues to be about people struggling to move on but can't since their situation dictates a certain placement, for it is all they know how to do. B
