IR TV Review: WANDAVISION - EPISODE 9 [Disney+]

WandaEp9a.jpg

The finale of "Wandavision" as a whole with "Episode 9" is a spoiler complete through and through so there is not a lot that can be said. The reality, like all good Marvel properties, is the essence of choice of self versus the greater good while also placing in subtle (and sometimes overt builds for the future]. The maligned at times "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D." got it right a lot of the time in its last season but didn't get the kudos that "Wandavision" has received, simply because the scope in a way gets so big. But that really, at one point, takes away from it. It can be so loud when it wants to but it is about modulation. The best two moments happens both when the film (excuse me, TV) slows down, specifically with Vision and shows his reasoning versus power can make the difference. Wanda has been going through a crisis of both sadness and identity. One just doesn't want it to go the way that "Captain Marvel" did since there needs to be something to lose, an Endgame if you will but not in that extreme sense. That is why the last few moments, though slightly a let down are inevitable but that is why it needed to end that way, for the greater good. But even in that idea with the post credits, the essence of duality lives on, in whatever way it needs to. B+
