IR TV Review: STAR WARS - THE BAD BATCH - EPISODE 10 (“Retrieval”) [Lucasfilm/Disney+-S2]

The idea of what family is and how every single member is able to bring their own strengths to a given situation has always been at the backbone of "The Bad Batch". With Episode 10 of Season 2 entitled "Retrieval", the team is stuck on a planet after the Marauder was stolen from them. This leads them to a place on the planet where an almost Twistian progression of events is unfolding run by a warlord of sorts named Mako. While the team is simply motivated to find their ship and then get it back in the moment, Omega, in a thief she befriends, begrudgingly sees a bigger picture of the galaxy which Hunter succinctly puts in perspective when looking at the facility. It is a microcosm of The Empire.

But in that way, it is also extrapolated that it will only take a certain amount of pressure to make it fall. This is why the Stormtrooper evolution is always bound to fail because, even the Clones, understand conscience. It is simply mired higher up in power and what can be promised versus the embodiment of simply decency. The past two episodes move towards an idea of lesson learned. Omega was feeling incomplete with the loss of Echo (although he is just doing something else) but she begins to understands simply that everyone must adapt and move on. B
