IR TV Review: MOON KNIGHT - EPISODE 2 [Marvel/Disney+]

Perspective and understanding have a way of working themselves out. After Episode 1 of "Moon Knight", the perception might be of a straight away texture of why this character is how he is. But it takes on a more interesting "Total Recall" parallel while still adhering to a bigger mythology. The second episode plays on a puzzle piece of personality shifting while taking into account that much of it might be in the mind of the beholder. What actually becomes intriguing is how the voices work. Another character comes into play and she seems to both know more and know less at the same time. The reasoning why actions happen seem a little more clear though in a closed circle. Hawke's character is a two-headed serpent in a way since one sees the logic of his actions but also the brainwashing that accompanies how it works in much of a cult perspective.

Isaac understands that the humor of one side needs to work against the other creating both balance and imbalance. The character can be a bad ass but it depends what suit he is hiding behind. The greater concept of the series continues forward but in the specificity of avoiding spoilers what is actually going on cannot be revealed and is not wholly clear yet though the use of reflections and details are undeniable in that the darkness plays a significant role. It actually becomes heartbreaking when there is a trapping mechanism because one starts to understand the pain this character might be in. If this see saw can be maintained, "Moon Knight" will continue to find that elusive spark that Marvel always seems to find at some point in its series where the humanity become ethereal against a larger backdrop. B+
