FIRST LOOK: Ares 1X – Dawn Shot – NASA

NASA just provided IR with this beautiful shot of the Ares 1X on the launch pad on the morning of October 26th, one full day before the proposed test. Currently the rocket is 40 minutes away from its first test launch. The Ares 1X is the delivery vehicle that is the next first step to the US returning to the moon.
