The aspect of creating a good Jason Statham film is to almost take the Statham out of the equation. Though Statham has been established as an action genre all his own, he is always at his best when he is playing a character that has an extremity of quirks all his own. With "The Beekeeper" by having David Ayer at the helm and the always dependable Kurt Wimmer writing, it is about the mythology more than the man.

After "Promising Young Woman", writer/director Emerald Fennell had some big shoes to fill. That film was subversive and a big swing, especially with its ending. It is the same with Fennell's new film "Saltburn" though it does take the same horror/thriller spin but with a much more devious character.

The conception of existence and the relevance in reflection of solitude in an interesting conundrum of "Three Thousand Years Of Longing", the latest from director George Miller. His first outing since "Mad Max: Fury Road" and before he started on its prequel "Furiosa" in an interesting mixture of elements.

"House Of Gucci" feels like a TV movie made with big name stars. If Scott was to do excess, the game could have been stepped up. Every actor in a way seems to be making a different movie but with each having moments of brilliance but never quite taking on that essence.

Daniel Craig's final entry into the Bond series "No Time To Die" begins and ends with a finality to it. It harks back while looking forward. It does everything it likely should but in elevating Bond and making him more modern, at times, it loses a bit of what he is, sans societal norms.

"Wrath Of Man" is a tale of revenge, more 70s action than grindhouse but with some interesting additions.
